Betreff des Beitrags: Grey 'material' Verfasst: 22. Dezember 2010, 11:27 |

Hello all, apologies for my post being in English – I know you do not mind.
I am a new member, trying hard to work out all the complexities of submarine building.
Could anyone tell me please, what material you use to build the sealed 'box' around the hoistable items? I have also seen it used as bulkheads - usually painted dark grey.
Is it some kind of sealed MDF?
If anyone could provide a supplier, that would be most helpful.
Thank you and I look forward to meeting many new friends.
Regards
Chris

Hi Chris!
Nice you found the way to Pressluftjunkies. I think you mean PVC. We use it for all Parts of the Frame and the box Inside. I think you can find it in Uk too. Search for plastic manufacturer. You will need 10mm thickness.
Feel free to ask everything here. There are no secrets!
Sascha

I have been reading the information for a few days and absorbing!
This is the material I mean, attached (arrowed in green).
Is it PVC? (apologies to whoever's picture i have 'borrowed').
Cheers
Chris
